Xiao-Li Yang, Jun, Zhang Shi-Bin, Ren, Yi-Zhi Li Wei, Huang. . . A new
two dimensions in the layers of cadmium sulfide under MSF-5 on the basis of a plug-C1 supertetrahedral cluster [Cd17S4 (SPhMe-4) 27 (SH)] 2 – has been synthesized. MSF-5 has a 3-connected network of 63-HCB, which connects each Cd-C1 (phme-4)-Cd covalent bonds with three neighboring groups to form a super 2D rings of 6 members. The 2D sheets stack on each other to form a 3D network. MSF-5 has a high thermal stability and a wide gap semiconductor.
