Vast quantities of elemental sulfur are produced from hydrogen sulfide by reacting it with sulfur dioxide (Which itself can be prepared from hydrogen sulfide). When the equation for the reaction is properly balanced, the sum of the coefficients of the products and reactants is?

    2 H2S + SO2 = 3 S + 2 H2O

    Count the coefficient and it gives you 8.

    # 2 is the answer.
